Röyksopp - Senior
With a small tweet from @hypem, the evening took a turn for the better: nothing short of a full length preview of the soon to be released album Senior by Röyksopp. Oh joys!
A whole lot mellower and chill-out than their previous album Junior. In the words of the señores themselves:
Although ‘Senior’ share bloodline with ‘Junior’, any further comparison of the two would prove pointless, as they are as different as day & night. ‘Junior’ is meant to represent the youthful part of Röyksopp, with emphasis on adolescent themes, catchy vocals, driven by energetic rythms and acessible harmonies – whereas ‘Senior’ is quite the oposite; dwelling in the introverted depths of despair, focusing on creating moods and atmospheres – completely stripped of any vocal intrusion.
